Located in Hazel Grove High School’s grounds, the centre offers a wide range of sporting and recreational activities for all ages. All facilities are open to the community outside normal school hours.

Sports Centre Manager

Mike joined the Laurus Trust in 2016 in time for the successful launch of Club Cheadle Hulme following an extensive refurbishment. Mike has worked in the leisure industry since the age of 19, as a Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, Duty Manager and Assistant Manager.

He has a background in sport, having played youth football at Stockport County FC before going on to play semi-professional football for numerous local clubs. Some of his highlights are making FA Youth Cup and FA Cup appearances. Mike is also a keen runner, completing most distances from 100m to marathon. He has won numerous Park Runs and has a 5km personal best of 16.45 minutes.

In 2021 he was appointed Sports Centre Manager here at Hazel Grove Sports Centre. Mike has assisted with the successful openings of Club Laurus and Club Didsbury.
